THIS EVENT IS FULLY BOOKED
Legal Cheek is partnering with White & Case to host a virtual event to help students understand how global law firms operate.
With 46 offices in over 30 different countries across the Americas, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe, and a policy for all London trainees to do a secondment overseas, White & Case is about as international as it gets. The firm’s lawyers work daily on multi-jurisdictional mega deals and cases, liaising via the latest technology across time zones to deliver the best results for their clients. Going beneath the bonnet, how does this all fit together in practice?
Time: 4pm to 6:30pm
Location: Virtual event
Level: Students, Graduates
On Thursday 23 April, four speakers from White & Case’s offices across the globe will join a Legal Cheek journalist for a livestreamed virtual panel discussion where they will give insights into their lives as global business lawyers to present a picture of how a global law firm works.
The speakers
- Rob Bennett, partner, financial restructuring and insolvency, New York
- Carina Radford, partner, energy, infrastructure, project and asset finance, London
- Hazel Levent, associate, international arbitration and litigation, Paris
The speakers will also talk about their own career journeys, advising students how they can follow in their footsteps, while reflecting on the skills that future lawyers hoping to specialise in international work need to develop.
After the panel discussion there will be virtual networking with the speakers, White & Case trainees and members of the firm’s graduate recruitment team.
Apply to attend. You’ll be asked to submit a CV and two questions for the panel. Please note that the details of those offered places will, subject to consent, be shared with White & Case’s London graduate recruitment team.
