Monday 14 June, 4pm to 6pm, taking place virtually
Legal Cheek is holding a virtual student event focusing on global law firms offering training contracts in the Northern powerhouse cities of Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester.
Taking place on Monday 14 June, from 4pm to 6pm, the virtual event features lawyers from the Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester offices of Freshfields, Hill Dickinson and Pinsent Masons, as well as legal education experts from ULaw’s campuses across the North of England.
Time: 4pm to 6pm
Location: Virtual event
Level: Students, Graduates
It begins with a panel discussion chaired by a Legal Cheek journalist, who will put questions to the panel about key commercial awareness issues, including opportunities arising for law firms as they emerge from the pandemic. The speakers will also be encouraged to discuss their career journeys and advise students hoping to follow a similar path.
The speakers
• Richard Capper, partner in the business services group, head of banking and finance and training principal at Hill Dickinson
• Jon Riley, partner and head of the Leeds office at Pinsent Masons
• Sunil Singh, associate in the dispute resolution team at Freshfields
• Amanda Hedayati, dean of The University of Law’s Manchester campus
After the panel discussion there will then be virtual networking with the speakers, trainees from their firms and some of ULaw’s campus ambassadors.
