Wednesday 8 November, 4pm to 6pm, taking place virtually
Join us on the afternoon of Wednesday 8 November for a virtual student event with Shoosmiths, breaking down the key concept of commercial awareness.
What is commercial awareness? How can aspiring lawyers develop it and demonstrate it in their applications? Why is it such a fundamental part of building a successful career in the legal industry? These are just some of the questions that a panel of Shoosmiths lawyers will address during a series of short talks and a panel discussion.
Time: 4pm to 6pm
Location: Virtual event
Level: Students, Graduates
They will also consider the key commercial awareness trends impacting the firm and its clients at this time, as well as looking back on their career journeys and sharing top tips for students looking to follow in their footsteps.
The speakers
• Kamil Piekarski, trainee solicitor in the Corporate team
• Shamim Miah, associate in the Banking and Finance team
• Laura Hartigan, advisor in the Emerging Talent team
There will then be virtual networking with the speakers, Shoosmiths’ trainees and members of the firm’s graduate recruitment team.
Apply to attend. You’ll be asked to submit two questions for the speakers.
