Thursday 2 September, 4pm to 6pm, taking place virtually
One of the great challenges in an increasingly digitalised world is the risk of cyber-attacks.
Added to this, large-scale adoption of work-from-home technologies and greater use of online services have presented fresh openings for cyber criminals to exploit.
The potential exposure, reputational damage and financial costs facing organisations following a cyber incident is now a top concern and boards are increasingly looking to the legal industry for support on how to navigate these complex crisis events.
Time: 4pm to 6pm
Location: Virtual event
Level: Students, Graduates
Clyde & Co has a global cyber team advising clients on how to prepare for and respond to digital risk. The team has advised on over 2,000 cyber incidents and data breaches, including some of the largest, most high-profile incidents globally to date.
On Thursday 2 September lawyers from across the group will form the panel for Legal Cheek’s first virtual student event of the autumn series.
The speakers
• Seaton Gordon, legal director in the London office’s cyber team
• Oscar Tang, senior associate in the London office’s cyber team
• Georgia Amos, associate in the London office’s cyber team
The speakers will share their experience of advising clients on this rapidly evolving practice area and give their views on its development in the years to come. They will also talk about their career journeys to date, reflecting on their routes into the profession, while advising the next generation how they can follow in their footsteps.
There will then be virtual networking with the speakers, Clyde & Co trainees and members from the firm’s graduate recruitment team.
Apply to attend. You’ll be asked to submit two questions for the panel.
