Legal Cheek is coming to Manchester for its latest student event.
The session — which takes place on the evening of Tuesday 29 October — features lawyers from Linklaters, Hill Dickinson, Irwin Mitchell and Pinsent Masons, alongside a Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) expert from global legal education provider BARBRI.

The speakers will give their respective takes on the big commercial awareness issues of the moment, including Brexit and rising global trade tensions, the turning economic cycle, the tech revolution and the emerging green economy.
They will discuss how these themes are affecting their practices and consider their implications for the next generation of lawyers. At the same time the speakers will reflect on their own career journeys and advise students how they can follow in their footsteps.
Time: 5:45pm to 8:30pm
Location: Studio Manchester, 51 Lever St, Manchester
Level: Students, Graduates
There will also be a chance to hear about how the legal profession is preparing for the new Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE), which will replace the Legal Practice Course from 2021.
After the Question Time-style discussion, which will be chaired by a Legal Cheek journalist, there will be drinks and networking with the speakers and a collection of trainees and members of the firms’ graduate recruitment teams.
