*FULLY BOOKED* Tuesday 19 November in London
Legal Cheek’s latest student event is in London.
The session — which takes place on the evening of Tuesday 19 November — features lawyers and graduate recruitment teams from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP), Gowling WLG, Ropes & Gray and Squire Patton Boggs, alongside a legal education expert from Barbri.
Time: 6pm to 9pm
Location: King’s College London, Strand Campus, JKTL Nash Lecture Theatre and Somerset Cafe, London
Level: Students, Graduates
The speakers will give their respective takes on the big commercial awareness issues of the moment, including Brexit and rising global trade tensions, the turning economic cycle, the tech revolution and the emerging green economy.
Speakers
Mark Richards, partner and co-leader of energy, environment and infrastructure at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner
Michael Luckman, intellectual property partner at Gowling WLG
Philip Sanderson, partner and co-chair of global private equity transactions at Ropes & Gray
David Regan, director of labour & employment at Squire Patton Boggs
Victoria Cromwell, head of SQE at BARBRI
They will discuss how these themes are affecting their practices and consider their implications for the next generation of lawyers. At the same time the speakers will reflect on their own career journeys and advise students how they can follow in their footsteps. There will be a particular focus on working internationally.
After the Question Time-style discussion, which will be chaired by a Legal Cheek journalist, there will be drinks and networking with the speakers, a collection of trainees and members of the firms’ graduate recruitment teams.
Apply to attend below. You’ll be asked to submit a CV and two questions for the panel.
