Tuesday 24 September, 4pm to 6pm, taking place virtually
THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED. Check out our other upcoming fairs and student events.
Join us on the afternoon of Tuesday 24 September for a virtual student event with Osborne Clarke.
The theme is AI. Legal Cheek is partnering with Osborne Clarke to explore this key commercial awareness theme from three different perspectives.
The first is how Osborne Clarke is advising its clients, which include a number of Big Tech companies and other large multinational players, on the legal aspects of adoption of AI within their businesses. In particular, the speakers will focus on the challenges around data protection posed by large language models (LLMs).
Second, we’ll look at how Osborne Clarke is using AI in its own systems to deliver legal advice more efficiently. Among other developments, the firm has recently launched a new AI tool, known as OC-GPT, which applies OpenAI technology to non-client data in a secure environment to help its lawyers work in a more efficient way.
Time: 4pm to 6pm
Location: Virtual event
Level: Students, Graduates
These perspectives will be discussed by Osborne Clarke lawyers across a range of practice areas and different levels of seniority. They will also give insights into their career journeys and advice to students hoping to follow a similar path.
The speakers
• Tamara Quinn, director in the AI, data, IP knowledge team
• Tom Sharpe, associate director in the IT and data team
• Thomas Stables, senior associate in the regulatory disputes team
We’ll then move to virtual networking with the Osborne Clarke graduate recruitment team, who will tackle the third perspective: use by students of AI in their vacation scheme and training contract applications. How should this be approached?
There will also be an opportunity to meet the speakers and some of the firms’ trainees.
This event is now fully booked.
