I want to enjoy my holidays
In the latest instalment in our Career Conundrums series, one university student questions whether his attachment to the summer sun will hinder his solicitor dreams.
I saw some research this week that got me thinking. The research says students who don’t have summer jobs can run into difficulties when they apply for full-time jobs after education. I’m about to go into my second year and I’m now researching training contracts. My academics are good but I’ve never had a job before. It might sound lazy but I just want to enjoy the summer and focus on my education once the holidays are over, but if not having a summer job is ruining my training contract chances then I suppose I’d compromise. What do I do?
