Junior corporate lawyer Sebastiano Paù-Lessi is representing Switzerland as his whistling fiddler alter ego “Sebalter”.
A Swiss lawyer is on the verge of a place in Saturday’s grand final of the Eurovision contest.
Sebastiano Paù-Lessi, a junior lawyer with top Swiss corporate law firm Bär & Karrer, will perform “Hunter of Stars” in this evening’s Eurovision semi-final, with a 50% chance of reaching the grand final of the competition on Saturday.
The legal rookie’s act — which can be enjoyed below — sees him sing, whistle and play his fiddle under the stage name of “Sebalter”. It draws upon Paù-Lessi’s past as the fiddler in Swiss folk rock band The Vad Vuc.
Touchingly, Bär & Karrer has published a post on its website expressing the firm’s pride in Paù-Lessi’s participation in the competition, which this year is being held in Copenhagen.
Paù-Lessi’s Eurovision appearance follows that of Albanian lawyer-rocker Adrian Lulgjuraj in 2013, and completes a busy day of lawyer-turned-musician news on Legal Cheek.
