Wednesday 16 October, 4pm to 6pm, taking place virtually
Join us on the afternoon of Wednesday 16 October for a virtual student event with BCLP.
The theme is mergers and acquisitions (M&A). A fall in inflation and interest rates across the developed world is seeing the cost of borrowing drop, stirring potentially acquisitive companies into action. After a muted few years, deal lawyers are preparing for a rebound.
BCLP’s M&A and corporate finance team will give insights into what is happening on the ground in this core Silver Circle practice area. They will give insights into their work helping public and private companies and start-ups to execute transactions, as well as advising banks, private equity and other sponsors in their financing of them.
Time: 4pm to 6pm
Location: Virtual event
Level: Students, Graduates
And they will go beyond the deal jargon of spin-offs, split-offs and carve-outs to explain what they do day-to-day and why they enjoy it, while telling the story of their career journeys to explain how they got to where they are today.
The speakers
• Tom Bacon, partner in the M&A and corporate finance team
• Lillian Adebayo, senior associate in the M&A and corporate finance team
• Derryn Visser, senior associate in the M&A and corporate finance team
• Chidima Atueyi, associate in the M&A and corporate finance team
After the presentation and a panel discussion there will be virtual networking with BCLP trainees.
