ESG and the law — with Burges Salmon

Wednesday 9 October, 4pm to 6pm, taking place virtually

Join us on the afternoon of Wednesday 9 October for a virtual student event with Burges Salmon.

The theme is ‘ESG (environmental, social and governance) and the law’. A panel of Burges Salmon lawyers will explore this key commercial awareness topic. They’ll break down the composite term into each of its environmental, social and governance segments, and explain law firms’ role in helping their clients meet key ethical rules and requirements.

Date: Wednesday 9 October 2024
Time: 4pm to 6pm
Location: Virtual event
Level: Students, Graduates

The speakers will also reflect on their own career journeys, explain why they enjoy their respective practice areas and give advice to students who want to follow a similar path.

The speakers

Luke Addison, associate in the banking and finance team
Helena Sewell, solicitor in the projects team

After short talks and a panel discussion there will be virtual networking with the speakers, Burges Salmon trainees and members of the firm’s early talent team.
