Top City lawyers discuss the impact AI is having on the profession; students ask the questions
Legal Cheek’s first student event of the autumn 2018 season kicks off on the evening of Thursday 13 September at Clifford Chance.
The free event, held at the magic circle giant’s Canary Wharf office, commences with an introduction from the firm’s director of continuous improvement, Tom Slate. He will explain how Clifford Chance is using artificial intelligence (AI), and discuss the opportunities that AI presents to both the firm and its clients.
There will then be three separate short presentations looking at the impact that AI is having on regulation, copyright law and ethics, by Clifford Chance associates Jamie Andrew and Midori Takenaka, both of whom specialise in technology, media & telecommunications (TMT), and Leigh Smith, a senior associate in the firm’s intellectual property team.
After the talks there will be a panel discussion chaired by a Legal Cheek journalist, followed by networking and nibbles with the speakers and a collection of Clifford Chance trainees and members of the firm’s graduate recruitment team. The event will run from 6pm until 8:15pm.
Apply to attend here. You’ll be asked to submit a CV and two questions for the panel.
