Russell Group law school gets in on latest social media trend
Social media is currently awash with videos of people trying out the ‘Mannequin Challenge’, and here at Legal Cheek we knew it wouldn’t be long before law students started getting in on the action.
Just days after barristers and clerks at Church Court Chambers took time out of their busy schedule to stand very still on camera, the University of Warwick’s law society posted its own video.

This Mannequin Challenge — which requires participants to stand very still so they appear frozen — features your typical law school activities, such as a pair of students holding a pile of bulky textbooks (23 seconds in) and a group study session (30 seconds).
The video, posted on the Russell Group law society’s Twitter account, also includes some less conventional characters. Our favourites include a student holding a teddy bear (28 seconds) and another wrapped in — what looks like — law-themed bunting (pictured below).
Money made from the challenge will go to Children in Need. Legal Cheek still has its fingers crossed for a Supreme Court edition.
