So we’ve written a poem
Lines written on the ascension to the throne of Donald John Trump
So, hello there, Mr Trump.
You used to be the host of The Apprentice
But now you are
The President of the United States of America.
Aka, The most powerful man in the world
With a nuclear arsenal at your disposal.
In your victory speech
You said you will
Bind the wounds of division, put America’s interests first
And deal fairly with everyone. With everyone.
All people and other nations.
You also said you would seek common ground,
Not hostility.
Partnership,
Not conflict.
Does that mean you will now be nice to
Muslims?
Mexicans?
Women?
Disabled people?
And everyone else you don’t like?
Or is it all a joke?
