It seems the inspirational drag queen has some tips for budding solicitors and barristers
The legal Twitterati was out in force this morning giving advice to aspiring lawyers, using the ever-inspiring words of world famous drag queen and living legend Ru Paul.
The bizarre and brilliant series of events was kicked off by Steven Vaughan. A University of Birmingham law professor, a former commercial lawyer and — judging by his timeline — a proud fan of Ru Paul’s TV show Ru Paul’s Drag Race, Vaughan began his day by reflecting on the advice he was planning to give his final year students today.
Final lecture today with my final year law students. This is the point where they get life advice from me based on @RuPaul / Drag Race

Presumably a Drag Race fan herself, Blackstone Chambers barrister Dinah Rose QC interjected with a couple of suggestions.
@lawvaughan @RuPaul You mean: "Good luck .. and don't f*** it up"?
— Dinah Rose (@DinahRoseQC) March 18, 2016
@lawvaughan @RuPaul Because it's a bit hard to see what application "Sissy that walk" has to a career in law.

But — according to Vaughan — the title of one of Ru Paul’s most famous songs may well have its place in the life of a commercial lawyer.
@DinahRoseQC You say that… but I have fond memories of catwalking down long empty corridors in Freshfields on numerous occasions at 4am…

And legal commentator and media lawyer David Allen Green couldn’t resist getting involved in the Ru Paul-based fun.
@DinahRoseQC @lawvaughan It is not as if you all prance around in wigs and silk gowns or anything…

To which Vaughan was more than happy to respond.
@DavidAllenGreen @DinahRoseQC "Born naked and the rest is drag" [this might be the title of my new paper about the Bar…]

Legal Cheek is beyond thrilled that this ever happened.
