Have we reached peak Alamuddin?
A lingerie brand has taken Amal Clooney mania to new heights, launching a set of underwear in honour of the human rights lawyer.
Little Black Pants Club, based in Brixton, south London, has produced a black bra and pants labelled “Alamuddin”, Clooney’s maiden name prior to her marriage to Hollywood heart-throb George Clooney.
Designed by Central Saint Martins graduate Alice Holloway, the black made-to-measure “organic cotton” underwear (pictured below) features a “soft elastic leg” and “lace overlay”.
Oxford-educated Clooney — who qualified at the New York bar some 14 years ago — spent time at elite New York headquartered outfit Sullivan & Cromwell at the start of her career. After spells at the UN and International Court of Justice in The Hague, Clooney eventually made the switch to the UK, joining renowned human rights set Doughty Street Chambers.
Other famous women to have a pair of knickers named after them by Holloway include Aussie singer Kylie Minogue, first lady Michelle Obama and chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel.
