“I’m wearing Ede & Ravenscroft,” quips Doughty Street barrister
Chancery Lane outfitters Ede & Ravenscroft is bracing itself for a rush of orders after being given a mention today by bar style icon Amal Clooney as she faced the world’s media.
With a huge throng of press present for Clooney’s appearance at the European Court of Human Rights as a junior to Geoffrey Robertson QC in a freedom of expression case, speculation was raging about what the glamorous Doughty Street barrister would be wearing.

But few were expecting Clooney to make such a quick-witted response to a Telegraph journalist’s question about her clobber (which rather rudely ignored the challenge to the criminalisation of the denial of the 1915 Armenian genocide on which she was acting).
