The Sun took its legal coverage up a notch today when it featured solicitor Neil Maybury in an article headlined ‘There’s Only Two Roy Hodgsons’.
As you can see, Maybury, who now works as an independent consultant following spells at Clifford Chance, Pinsent Masons and DLA Piper, bears an uncanny resemblance to the new manager of the England football team.
Indeed, the similarity between the pair is such that Maybury has developed a nice little sideline in appearing as a Roy Hodgson look-a-like, charging £250 per appearance, with another £500 to say a few words. He is expected to increase his rates during this summer’s European Championships…
According to The Sun, Birmingham-based Maybury, 58, “has become used to being greeted in the street by fans of Roy’s past clubs. And he has even been confused for the 64-year-old manager by former professional footballers.”
Britain’s favourite red top adds that Maybury is backing Hodgson to be a success for England after controversially beating people’s choice Harry Redknapp to the job.
“He’s made of tough stuff and will just focus on his job and forget everything else that is going on,” Maybury told the paper. “We all just need to get behind him and the team ahead of the championships this summer, and hopefully Roy will bring home the goods.”
