Paul Rooney, the personal injury law firm, has launched a comedy video advert to flog the services of its ambulance chasing lawyers.
Tasteless? Maybe, but hey, you get de-sensitised to other people’s pain after a while, and at the end of the day life’s just one black, black joke. Well, that’s what a spokesperson for the firm said, in my dream about writing this story last night.
Issues of appropriateness aside, the ad is actually quite funny. It sees Scouse comic Darren Farley impersonate several Premiership footballers – including Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney and David Beckham – in fictional personal injury claim scenarios.
